Students on the second cycle degree/two year master Programme in Information, Cultures and Media Organisation (class LM 19) will acquire knowledge and skills useful for professional roles in the information sectors and they will receive technical and operational training which can be applied in the fields of multimedia production and media management.


In relation to the first aspect, the programme will enable students to acquire knowledge and develop advanced skills in the historical-political, sociocultural and media organisation subject areas with a view to equipping them with the ability to take an analytical and in-depth approach to the examination of information. In particular, students will:

  • acquire knowledge in the historical-political subject area enabling them to further investigate the evolution of historical national and international contexts, the history of communication and journalism, gender, ethnic and cultural issues and modern political dynamics
  • acquire knowledge in the sociocultural subject area enabling them to further investigate techniques for image processing and analysis, types of public and consumers, and the social implications of the use of social media and the we
  • acquire knowledge in the media organisation subject area enabling them to further investigate media organisation systems, information system methods and techniques, television and cinematic production techniques and the regulatory framework governing intellectual property.
