The degree programme provides a training basis for the professions of archivist and librarian, ensuring a technical specialisation for the purposes of training, management, enhancement and preservation of cultural heritage such as books, documents and public and private document collections. In addition to ensuring sound historical, legal and IT knowledge for the processing and communication of descriptive information, it provides the appropriate organisational tools for the design, management of complex IT systems and the management of institutions for the preservation of historical books and documents. Training in specific sectors(archival, books and documents) takes into account the ongoing national and international research in the most advanced fields of this discipline. For this purpose, the learning activities offered as a whole help support the learning of a language of the European Union, in addition to Italian, with reference to disciplinary vocabulary.
