The main objective of this degree programme is to give graduates scientific knowledge in the various fields of human wellness, with particular reference to the technical, preventive, managerial and educational areas. In the technical area, students obtain fundamental knowledge of the theories and teaching methods for the various sporting disciplines, as practised essentially for enjoyment and at amateur level. In the preventive area, students learn how to maintain optimal physical efficiency throughout life, as applied to normal individuals who need to prevent the diseases associated with sedentary living by adopting an active and healthy lifestyle. In the managerial area, students learn about the legal-administrative principles that govern the world of wellness in the sporting, recreation, education, prevention and industrial contexts. In the educational area, students obtain knowledge about teaching expressive-communicative movements, developing the abilities, skills and coordination of children as they grow.
