Chemistry is a necessary discipline. It includes many fields, where chemistry is mainly concerned with studying the living and non-living natural elements and compounds on Earth and its components, and studying their construction, properties and interactions among them. The University has equipped modern and advanced educational laboratories for all stages of the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Study plans were prepared to link chemistry with applied science, technology and industry. To benefit the student in the field of work with what he learned during the study. The specialization also contains new courses that keep pace with modern scientific developments such as nanotechnology and quality control. 
The Department aims to provide the Jordanian, Arab and international market with technically trained talents in different chemical fields to serve various institutions such as pharmaceutical companies and biological equivalence study centres, institutions for the supply of scientific devices and laboratory supplies, the Food and Drug Corporation, the Standards and Metrology Organization, the ministries of water, agriculture, mineral wealth, and factories.
 In addition to providing students with basic knowledge, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills and providing them with the required expertise to work in the field of teaching in various educational institutions. The Department also aims to prepare students scientifically to prepare them to pursue postgraduate studies and scientific research in various chemical sciences and their applications.
The Applied Science Private University was keen to prepare modern and advanced educational laboratories for all stages of the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Study plans have been developed to link chemistry with applied sciences, technology and industry so that the student can benefit in the field of work with what he learned during the study. The specialization also contains new courses that are in line with modern scientific developments such as nanotechnology and quality control in addition to the presence of the applied side within the subjects" research project and the symposium".

The Jordanian, Arab and international market needs with technically trained talents in different chemical fields to serve various industrial establishments. 
In addition to the labour market need for a chemistry major based on the statistics of the Civil Service Bureau, which indicates a shortage of male teachers in the chemistry major.
Based on the vision and mission of the Applied Science Private University and its general objectives, the Department of Chemistry aims to achieve a set of goals, including:
1. The specialization of chemistry seeks to provide the student with knowledge in chemistry, whether from the theoretical or practical side and laboratory to work in the fields of the private sector and government by providing a distinguished education that enjoys leadership in Jordan and the region, making it distinguished locally, Arab and globally.
2. Providing the Jordanian, Arab and international market with technically trained competencies in the various chemical fields to serve different institutions such as pharmaceutical companies and biological equivalence study centres, institutions for the supply of scientific devices and laboratory supplies, the Food and Drug Establishment, the Institution for Standards and Metrology, the Ministry of Water, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Mineral Resources, Factories, environmental protection, food testing centres.
3. Provide students with basic knowledge and enable them to acquire the necessary skills and provide them with the required expertise to work in the field of teaching in various educational institutions.
4. Preparing students with a scientific preparation that allows them to pursue postgraduate studies and scientific research in various chemical sciences and their applications. 5. Constructive scientific communication with the corresponding universities at the local, regional and global levels in order to exchange scientific and teaching experiences.
6. Supporting the University's scientific specializations from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology and Nursing with the materials it needs from the Chemistry Department.
7. Helping to reduce the unemployment problem among young people to support development projects to build the country economically, socially and politically.

1. Schools and educational institutions. 2. Research centres. 3. Drug companies. 4. Petrochemical plants. 5. Food and Drug Corporation. 6. Institution for Standards and Metrology. 7. Paint factories. 8. Detergent factories - foodstuff factories. 9. Some laboratory and medical fields.
