The English Literature degree aims to cover the breadth and depth of English Literature across the world, whilst also allowing students to develop their own interests in specific areas. Through this course, students will study literature, culture, history, have the opportunity to develop their creative writing skills and investigate how new technologies impact upon the study of literature. The Third Year of this course is spent abroad in a French or German speaking country.  The year abroad is an integral and assessed part of language studies at Aston University and will be fully supported by the university. Students will acquire near-native linguistic fluency and the high-level political, social and cultural insights.
