Language and/with Journalism (French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish) with Foundation Year (BA)

The BA Language and/with Journalism with Foundation Year combines the study of a modern language with development of journalistic skills relevant to a wide range of professional contexts. The journalism modules are taught by industry professionals with experience not only in how to write for different media and audiences, but also in how the industry works. By the end of the programme students will have developed high-level journalistic skills, and an understanding of the cultural, political and industrial contexts of journalism. Before proceeding to the main degree, students will spend their Foundation Year preparing yourself for a degree in the arts by improving their study and research skills and gaining arts-related knowledge and understanding. Students will also have the opportunity to take a language module as part of the Foundation Year.
