Mathematics with Management (BSc)

Birkbeck’s BSc Mathematics with Management provides a broad education in mathematics and the main concepts and methods of management. It concentrates on the methods and modelling techniques of mathematics, but also explains the theory behind them. Students will be able to enhance their knowledge of a range of mathematical skills together with their understanding of management, including managerial economics. Birkbeck provides a broad education in the mathematical sciences and their application to commerce and the natural and social sciences. The courses cover the theoretical background, as well as methods and modelling techniques, and equip you with a wide range of mathematical skills. Graduates can pursue careers in business, banking and finance, research or analysis. This degree can also be useful in becoming a mathematical research scientist, actuary, management consultant or risk manager.
