Theatre Studies and English (BA)

Birkbeck's BA Theatre Studies and English exploreS a diverse and exciting range of theatre and drama practices, theories, institutions, companies and artists from across the world, from Ancient Greece to the present day. Students will also receive essential training in performance analysis, theatre and performance history, cultural theory and research methods. Teaching methods combine lectures, seminars and workshops, and visits to theatres and cultural institutions. Graduates can pursue careers in education, marketing and public relations, the media and creative arts, or theatre. This degree may also be useful in becoming a journalist, arts administrator, charity officer, community arts worker or theatre director.
