Our Mechanical Engineering MEng degree will equip you to be a skilled engineer capable of undertaking mechanical engineering tasks within and across organisations. The course builds on sustainable futures and the Government's STEM agenda, helping you to gain the knowledge and attributes needed to thrive in this ever-changing industry. You will utilise the latest tools and technologies, developing new skills at an advanced level. Your studies will focus on applying industry-standard modelling and simulation techniques to the analysis, specification and design of mechanical engineering systems. You will also develop strategic management and leadership capabilities and be encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities such as Formula Student and Engineering without Borders to gain real-life experience of engineering. We are ideally located at the University’s flagship City Centre Campus, based in Millennium Point. In 2017, we are spending £8.7 million on improvements to our Millennium Point facilities so you’ll have even more access to dedicated, industry-standard equipment. 91 per cent of our students said we were good at explaining things (National Student Survey, 2016), which demonstrates the quality of our teaching. Choosing to study the MEng integrated Master’s degree programme will enable you to stand out from the crowd on graduation with a Master’s level qualification. You will also undertake a final year project which will help you to develop advanced technical and professional skills.
