About Brock University

Brock University is a comprehensive university of more than 19,000 students, a home to rich academic programs and world-class research. Located in Ontario’s scenic Niagara region, an hour from Metro Toronto and 20 km from the U.S. border, Brock is one of a handful of universities in the world to be situated in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The university offers more than 70 undergraduate and nearly 50 graduate degrees through seven academic faculties: Applied Health Sciences, Education, Humanities, Mathematics and Science, Social Sciences, Graduate Studies, and the Goodman School of Business. Brock is home to 13 Canada Research Chairs and is in the top five of Ontario universities for the number of 3M National Teaching Fellows.


Brock helps people pursue fulfilling lives. For instance, its Medical Sciences program prepares students for further studies in medicine, physiotherapy and other health professions. Other marquee programs include Child and Youth Studies, Oenology and Viticulture, Digital Humanities, Teacher Education, Co-op Accounting, and its very successful Sport Management program.


Brock is a leader in experiential learning. Its Co-op, Career and Experiential Education department, one of the most innovative in Canada, helps more than 2,500 co-op students seek relevant employment. All students engage in quality experiential learning opportunities. Two years after graduation, Brock grads have a 95 percent employment rate.

Having invested more than a quarter-billion dollars into infrastructure in the past decade, Brock has some of Canada’s most advanced post-secondary facilities, such as the Cairns Family Health and Biosciences Research Complex and the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts.

Notable Undergraduate Programs

  • Game Programming: This degree/diploma program, offered collaboratively with Niagara College, teams students with industry and academic professionals, giving them the skills to create compelling video games.
  • Sport Management: This bachelor’s program incorporates fieldwork experience, preparing students for sport industry careers including management, marketing, PR, and facility and event management. Many grads go on to work for professional sports leagues or major international sporting events.
  • Business Administration, Co-op International Dual Degree: Graduates earn a bachelor of business administration from Brock as well as a second degree from a partner school in Ireland, Germany or France.
