All undergraduate degrees are offered jointly with Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

Undegraduate students will undertake three paid internships in Switzerland for all BA degree programmes.

Through the internship, students recover almost 30 percent of their annual tuition.

The usual undergraduate entry requirements at BHMS are:

  • Secondary School, A level or GCSE
  • ILETS 5.0 or Duolingo or equivalent
  • 17 years of age

 
The average tuition fees for students at undergraduate level at BHMS is CHF 28,600 per year.

Business & Hotel Management School offers postgraduate programmes in three main specialisations: Hospitality Management; Business Management; Culinary Arts

BHMS offers the following postgraduate courses:

All M.Sc. degrees are offered jointly with the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

The MBA degree is offered jointly with York St. John University (MBA specialisations are offered by BHMS).

The usual postgraduate entry requirements at BHMS are as follows:

M.Sc. entry requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • ILETS 6.0 or Duolingo or equivalent


MBA entry requirements

  •          Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  •          ILETS 6.0 or Duolingo or equivalent
  •          Minimum two years of full-time work experience


Graduate Certificate entry requirements:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent
  • ILETS 6.0 or Duolingo or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of full-time work experience


Postgraduate Diploma entry requirements:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent
  • ILETS 5.0 or Duolingo or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of full-time work experience

The average tuition fees for international students at postgraduate level are as follows:

  • CHF 38,500 for the M.Sc.
  • CHF 41,500 for the MBA
  • CHF 56,000 combined M.Sc. and MBA
  • CHF 37,500 for the PG Diploma Hospitality/Culinary
  • CHF 19,900 for the Graduate Certificate

University information

Students can apply directly through B.H.M.S.’s website or through a representative in their home country.

The admissions process includes three important steps:

1. Complete the application form online.

2.  If your application is successful and the requested program is available, we will send you the letter of acceptance within 72 hours.  After receiving our letter of acceptance you will be requested to make the initial payment within two weeks.

3.  A receipt & enrollment confirmation will be sent to you as soon as we have received the initial payment.

At this stage you will need to contact the Swiss Embassy in your hometown to book an appointment for a student visa interview through the B.H.M.S. admission office in your region or the authorized B.H.M.S. education counselor.

The balance of your school fee for the first year must be paid after B.H.M.S. has presented a proof of your visa confirmation but not later than 4 weeks prior to the term commencement date.

Upon receiving full payment, B.H.M.S. will issue a NOC (No Open Cost) letter and will send it directly to the Swiss Embassy in your hometown so you may receive your visa stamp. After that, you may book your flight ticket to Zurich airport, where we will be waiting to transfer you to your new residence in Lucerne.

BHMS Business & Hotel Management School has 2 main buildings located in the heart of Lucerne: City Campus and Lakeside Campus, as well as academic facilities in three other locations. Both campuses provide  easy access to cafés, supermarkets, bars, shops, and restaurants, as well as 24-hour front desk security.

City Campus is a modern facility located on the edge of Lucerne's historical old town, next to the  river Reuss. Lakeside Campus is a former grand hotel and is just a stone throw away from the Lake Lucerne and in the heart of the city's commercial and touristic zone.

All rooms are  equipped with a bathroom, a kitchenette, wardrobe, study areas, and Wi-Fi. Accomodation options include:

  • Shared Standard Room on  City Campus (3-4 bed shared apartment) – Included in cost
  • Shared Superior Room on Lakeside Campus (twin room) – Surcharge
  • Studio Standard on Lakeside Campus – Surcharge
  • Studio Superior on City Campus – Surcharge

Not necessarily, only if required by the Swiss Embassy to apply for a study visa to Switzerland. In such a case, applicants may take an online test at  www.testpodium.com  (level one) which they will need to send the results directly to B.H.M.S. as we are a registered institution under this online placement test.
While it is illegal for students requiring a visa for Switzerland to carry out a part-time job during their six months per year in school, the B.H.M.S. programs give you the opportunity to work full-time for 4-6 months in every year. This means you will earn around CHF 13'000 gross salary per academic year!

To be granted a student visa to Switzerland you must satisfy the student visa requirements as published at the nearest Swiss Embassy or consulate at your hometown.

Absolutely! B.H.M.S. works with numerous international placement agencies, which specialize in placing graduate students in Europe, Asia, and North America. Higher Diploma in Hotel Management, at least one internship period in a Swiss hotel or restaurant and very good communication and language abilities are essential ingredients for successful placement.
