Bachelor of Emergency Management provides students with the skills and confidence required to coordinate emergency management activities before, during and after a crisis or disaster event. With this degree, students will learn both the principles and practices of emergency and disaster management, and examine and analyse community resilience, disaster prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. The Bachelor of Emergency Management includes specific studies in community resilience and disaster planning, risk management and mitigation, climate change and environmental science, spatial science and geographical information systems (GIS), and decision-making in crisis situations. This course is designed in collaboration with emergency management agencies, regulators, research bodies, private industry and emergency services providers, with subjects delivered through the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security (AGSPS). While delivery of the course is entirely online, you may have the opportunity to undertake international study programs through CSU Global.

At least one year's work experience (paid or voluntary) in an industry, organisation, agency or enterprise that has emergency management roles and responsibilities demonstrated by a detailed resume.
