The current Doctoral Program in Hispanic American Literature , heir to the precedent qualified with a Mention of Excellence from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, is regulated by Royal Decree 99/2011 and was linked to the Department of Spanish Philology IV, currently the Department of Literatures Hispanics and Bibliography of the Faculty of Philology of the Complutense University of Madrid, a center where it has been taught since 2013. The doctorate in Hispanic American Literature is aimed at acquiring the competence and ability related to quality scientific research, aimed at obtaining the title of Doctor. The objective of the program is for students to develop their research skills to the fullest, through the complementary training that is necessary. For this reason, a series of procedures and lines of research are established to carry out doctoral theses.
