The  Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage has, as a general objective, the training of the conservator-restorer, who will work on the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage. For this it is provided:

  • Knowledge of conservation and restoration criteria applied to cultural heritage.
  • A practical training that includes the study and application of ancient and current artistic techniques in relation to cultural assets.
  • The study of scientific methods for documentation and intervention in cultural assets.
Both the set of theoretical knowledge, the systems of analysis and diagnosis of heritage works and the solution of problems, together with the specific treatments of conservation-restoration, entail a clear differentiation of the Conservator-Restorer with respect to other professions whose field is cultural heritage (Fine Arts, History, History of Art, Archaeology, etc.).
