The Professional Studies in Forensic Road Collision Investigation BSc (Hons) is a top-up to the two-year Forensic Road Collision Investigation Foundation Degree (FdSc). It is mainly based around a research module which will require students to complete a work-based project and as such they will need to be employed in the field of collision investigation. This includes serving police officers, insurance investigators and those who offer consultancy expertise in this area. Students will understand how modern technology is used in forensic collision investigation. A strong emphasis is placed on the practical use of technology to investigate real-world collisions. The course provides an understanding and use of a wide range of hardware and software such as calculation and simulation programs that allow a collision to be reconstructed.
