Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering is a vibrant teaching and research institution dedicated to educating the next generation of engineering leaders and pursuing research in high-impact fields to address the world's grant challenges. At the graduate level, we offer certificates, master's, and doctoral degrees. 

Ranked #24 for Best Engineering Graduate Schools by U.S. News and World Report and with an engineering faculty ranked among the top 12 in their fields nationally for scholarly productivity (Academic Analytics), Duke is an energetic and richly interdisciplinary research environment. Our School is home to seven major externally funded research centers, total research funding that has doubled over the past decade, and extensive collaborations across nationally-ranked Duke University, Duke University Medical Center, and the Research Triangle Park. 

Located in Durham, North Carolina, within close proximity to Research Triangle Park, the largest research park in the United States and home to over 300 companies, Duke Engineering is a key partner in region's technology, engineering, and start up landscape. Duke Engineering's Office of Entrepreneurial Ventures is a driver of innovation sponsoring programs like the Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative, the DUhatch student business incubator, and Duke Start-Up Challenge. Our faculty, student and alumni have strong track records of start-up successes. 

Duke Engineering occupies 304,021 net square feet of educational, administrative and research space on and near the Duke campus in Durham, North Carolina. As a Duke University student, you have full access to campus resources including Duke University Libraries, one of the best libraries in the country with over 6.4 million volumes. 

The New Engineering Building, now under construction, will add about 85,000 nsf for engineering education, research and entrepreneurship.

Our campus adjacent to Duke University Medical Center gives engineering researchers and students uncommon collaborative opportunities with world-leading clinicians.
