European University of Lefke

The European University of Lefke (EUL) is a non-profit state university in North Cyprus, which was founded in 1989 by the Cyprus Science Foundation and opened its campus in 1990. The “philosophy” of EUL is “science and education are universal in our age”, thus EUL provides a broad range of contemporary education and is committed to maintaining international standards of excellence with all degree programs accredited and recognized by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YOK) and the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council of North Cyprus (YODAK). EUL students gain internationally recognized education together with the knowledge, expertise, and life skills required to enhance a successful career. Besides that, EUL is a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), International Universities Council (IUC), and Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW). EUL is the signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum. Many departments of EUL have been accredited by specialized agencies like The Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN), Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MUDEK), and Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD). The English Preparatory School has been accredited by Edexcel-Pearson Assured since 2015. EUL is a leading brand of education in North Cyprus with 10,532 students from 87 different countries covering five continents. Having 11 faculties and 8 schools, EUL offers education in 104 associate/undergraduate degree programs and 55 postgraduate/doctoral degree programs.
