Available programs

There are three undergraduate courses available at Institut Lyfe:

Usual undergraduate entry requirements:

  • French Baccalaureate or equivalent qualifications
  • Length: 3 or 4 years
  • Intake: September
  • Languages of instruction : French/English or English


Bachelor’s degree are registered and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Innovation and Industry.

This accreditation recognizes the quality and level of courses as well as their international portability.

There are two postgraduate courses at Institut Lyfe:


The usual entry requirements are: 

  • Master’s Degree in Culinary Leadership & Innovation: completed a recognized degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts or Food Service Management
  • MSc in International Hospitality Management: completed a recognized 1-year Master’s degree (Bac+4) or equivalent

We provide our students with a distinctive learning environment designed specifically for an experiential teaching approach that offers a real-world pedagogical experience combining practice and theory for a 360° exposure to the Hospitality, Food Service and Culinary Arts sectors.


Student life

Institut Lyfe’s main campus is in Lyon, France. Cultural diversity plays an important part of life on a campus with 1,200 students. There are 72 different nationalities and 40 percent of classmates are international.

Accommodation is just five minutes from the school, with 114 bedrooms equipped with private bathrooms.

The international students affairs department will help students with all of the administrative procedures.
Before the first week, international students have a two-day "Easy France toolbox" seminar. Every month the international student affairs department organizes cultural activities for international students. Find out more here. Students live both on and off campus.

The Institut Paul Bocuse's Corporate Relations Department maintains links with more than 800 partner companies that are leading stakeholders in our sectors. We also provide 2500 qualified job offers & placements per year.

Applications are made directly via the Apply form on our website.

Students of French nationality applying to join one of our Bachelor programmes at the beginning of September must submit their application via the Parcoursup national admissions platform according to the timetable set by the French government each year.

Institut Lyfe proposes several types of scholarships or bursaries to help you finance your studies:

26 years old, beyond that you can apply to our executive Education Centre
Our school has a student halls of residence located 5 minutes’ walk from the heart of the campus. Intended primarily for international students and first year students, it offers 114 rooms with room service, gym, recreation area, etc.
Institut Lyfe also provides its students with an accommodation platform managed by its Campus Team, whose members of staff are also there to help you with any day-to-day formalities.
