The Doctorate in Sciences in Biotechnology (DCB) is conceived as a doctorate that in practice operates in an Institutional manner, with the participation of 6 nodes in the Network, which fulfill logistical functions within its operation, which integrates the sum of all the strength of the nodes in an institutional manner. The present proposal then arises from showing the potential of a multi-site, multidisciplinary program that encourages the interaction of students, professors and institutional administrative support, which converges in an academic doctoral program, where experiences, human resources and infrastructure of Academic Units are used. of the Institute in 5 different states that venture into the area of ​​biotechnology, Medicine and Environment.
The current teaching staff is made up of 70 full-time professors from the 6 active nodes, all of whom have the degree of Doctor of Science, of which only 17% are IPN graduates, 23% graduated from CINVESTAV and 60% obtained his doctoral degree in another national and international institution. The average age of the academic staff is less than 40 years old, most of them are level I of the SNI (68.5%), in addition there are 9 level II and 2 level III members (the total level II and III is 15.8 % ).
