The objective of the Master of Science in Genomic Biotechnology is to train professionals with a high academic level capable of formulating and implementing biotechnology-based scientific and development projects. In addition, its graduates will have the scientific capacity to join research and teaching groups in national or foreign academic and research institutions.


The National Polytechnic Institute offers in the city of Reynosa (Tamaulipas) the Master of Science in Genomic Biotechnology and whose main objective is the training of Masters of Science of high academic level, capable of formulating and implementing biotechnology-based projects and with the scientific capacity to join research and teaching groups in national and foreign research and academic institutions. The Master of Science in Genomic Biotechnology is recognized as a consolidated program ruled by the CONACyT National Postgraduate Register and includes two years of courses and research on an original topic that involves the knowledge and manipulation of genes of animals, plants or microorganisms.

1.- Be a graduate of any of the following areas of knowledge: Agronomy, Biology, Engineering, Chemical-Pharmaceutical-Biological, Medicine, Veterinary and other areas related to Biotechnology.
2.- Minimum average of 8.0 or its equivalent in the degree.
3.- Present the admission exam and the interview.
4.- Take the scientific literature comprehension exam in English.
