The Bachelor of Creative Arts offers theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are valuable in the creative industries. This degree allows students to specialize in either screen, theatre, visual arts or writing. Through the similar core subjects for each specialization, students will apply relevant skills and knowledge to produce and critique a range of creative art works. Students will be taught to interpret, communicate and present ideas, problems and arguments for different audiences. After choosing a major to specialize in, students can select a second major that complement the first. The subjects which students can choose from but not limited to are media, English, languages, politics, sociology, history, and psychology. The students will have access to the La Trobe Art Institute as well as its network of galleries and the opportunity to exhibit their work either in a solo or group exhibition, pop-up gallery and community arts project. The Screen and Theatre majors are offered at Melbourne only, the Writing major is offered at Melbourne and Bendigo and the Visual Arts major is offered in Bendigo and Mildura.
