Purpose of the Degree Programme:
The programme is aimed of training of research and teaching staff with fundamental knowledge and skills in methodology and research, able to conduct independent research in the field of international relations, international security and foreign policy issues of the state in order to determine the priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Key learning outcomes:
To demonstrate the fluency in using scientific terms in foreign language, to be able to present his/her research in area of international relations in foreign language; To demonstrate systemic understanding of issues, related to research area of international relations and in interdisciplinary areas; Independently identify relevant research questions in international relations and choose the required research methods, to design, carry out and correct the research design and program, to make independent conclusions and present them publicly in written and oral form; To work in research team, and to supervise research in area of international relations; To apply the norms of research ethics in process of organizing and implementing research in area of international relations and use properly the reference and citation rules; Critically analyze, evaluate and synthesize the new and theoretically supported ideas and approaches to the research of international relations issues; To make contribution into development of international relations as science area through original research which results must be published on national and international levels.
