The course aims to delve into the complex relationships between banks and banking groups, on the one hand, and the functioning of European economic systems, on the other. It highlights not only the operational and management aspects of banks but also the transformations underway in the banking/financial sector and the impact of these transformations on monetary policy choices and the functioning of the ‘real’ sector. To this end, the course is divided into 3 units: Unit 1 on “Framework of economic theory and policy”; Unit 2 on “Typical activities of the banking sector and individual banks”; Unit 3 on “Organization, Legal Control and Human Resources Management”. There are also 3 days of seminars on the following subjects: (i) financial statements of banking groups, (ii) financial technology; (iii) public speaking.
