Overview

Lund University in Sweden is well-known for being a research-intensive university that provides 30 world-leading research environments. Students wishing to pursue their postgraduate education can choose from the 100 master’s degree programs available across a range of subject areas, including:

Another option for students is to pursue one of the European Join University Master’s degrees offered by the university in cooperation with other European universities. Lund University students can also enrol into a Pre-Master’s Preparation Program for students who wish to boost their study and English language skills.

Tuition fees

Students who are citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland are generally required to pay tuition fees. Tuition fees do not apply for EU/EEA citizens. Most programmes are $11,000–$16,000 per year. However, students can receive financial aid and scholarships.

Entry requirements

Admission requirements for students wanting to pursue master's level studies consist of having a bachelor's degree from an internationally recognised university and demonstrating proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognised test, e.g. TOEFL, IELTS or the equivalent. Most programs at Lund University require a level of English equivalent to IELTS 6.5.

A degree program may have additional entry requirements that students need to fulfil to be considered for admission.  The main application period for international students is 15 October-15 January for all programs starting in autumn (September) semester each year.
