The master's without thesis comprises three semesters of seminars after which the students prepare three research papers (30 pages each) under the supervision of three professors. Among the opportunities available to graduates are teaching (at the college level) as well as various professions related to literature and written communication (particularly in the publishing world).
The first three sessions of the program are devoted to schooling, for full-time students; they must follow 8 seminars of three credits, ie 4 per session. The FREN 697 and FREN 600 courses are compulsory. Students registered part-time must register for a minimum of two seminars per session.
