Aircraft Engineering

The program is meant for those who wish to invent new flying vehicles and create the future. Advanced study of technical disciplines combined with intensive workshops provided by high-profile professionals from principal Russian aircraft design bureaus such as Sukhoi, Mig, Ilyushin, Beriev, Tupolev. Core subjects are methods for aircraft design engineering, flight mechanics, methods for modeling in CAD software systems, and others. Our graduates work in aerospace companies such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Thales, COMAC, ATR, Cessna, Fokker, Hindustan Aeronautics.

Spacecraft Engineering

The program is created for future experts who are able to lead projects in space communication systems, satellite navigation systems, and manned spacecraft. It is based on the experience of the Soviet space program and the latest Russian space developments. MAI students have launched 9 satellites designed and manufactured at the university laboratories. Graduates of the program gain knowledge of various constructive approaches and technological solutions for the modern aerospace industry. This allows them to begin their career in any of the world's aerospace companies such as NASA, Boeing, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), RosCosmos and  SpaceX.

Control Systems and Computer Science in Engineering

The program is for those who would like to study automatic control engineering, sensor technologies and robotics, who would like to be a high-profile professional, a creator of modern avionics, electronic devices of any complexity. The subject area covers algorithms and object-oriented methods for control system engineering, flight safety systems and electronic device manufacturing methods. Graduates of the program gain knowledge, experience and practical skills that give them extensive career opportunities in all high-demand fields of modern hi-tech industries, such as aerospace corporations, oil and gas companies, biomedical projects.

Propulsion engineering

The program is created to acquire deep knowledge of physics and material science, to become a brilliant engineer and build the career in one of the most complicated fields of the modern hi-tech industry. The program focuses on in-depth study of theoretical disciplines with advanced training in general engineering. The curriculum includes such disciplines as turbojet design engineering, product lifecycle management for jet engines, schematic design and mathematical modeling, thermodynamics and heat transfer. Comprehensive curriculum combined with intensive practical training provide the graduates with an opportunity to continue their education in various fields of hi-tech engineering and to start their career in world major of aerospace and heavy industries, such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Rolls-Royce, Pratt&Whitney, Siemens, GE Power, Sauer, Subaru.
