In the course, candidates will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of water engineering and then apply this theory with practical learning experiences to give them the skills needed to use the algorithms, hardware and software, and latest practices of the water purification industry. Water treatment and Desalination are important in many industries, including mining, horticulture, energy generation, oil and gas recovery, livestock and agriculture production and processing, semi-conductor and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and hospitals and health care facilities. This course is designed to meet the requirements of Engineers Australia for Continuing Professional Education of Engineers in the disciplines of environmental engineering, water engineering, and chemical engineering in the areas of water process control, technology, and management.
