This History degree will help students to get a better understanding of how things came to be the way they are today. Students will explore ideas and theories about human action by looking at the evidence of the past and develop excellent research, analysis and communication skills. The core units will include subjects such as ‘The Empire Strikes Back: Imperialism and Colonialism in Modern History.’ You can choose electives to specialise in the history of Australia, Europe or Asia with units including ‘Europe Under the Dictators’, ‘The Vietnam Wars’, ‘Spies, Saboteurs and Secret Agents’ and ‘Crime and Punishment Since 1700’.
