Founded in August 2005, the Graduate Institute of Performing Arts has three sub-disciplines: theater performance, collaborative piano, arts marketing and industries.

The primary objective of the graduate institute and bachelor degree program is to provide high quality training for theater musicians, design artists, performing arts management administrators, collaborative pianists, and to establish the platform for cross-sectors collaboration in cultural creative Industries. With equal emphasis placed on theory and practice, this institute endeavors to provide fine-quality training for on-stage and backstage performing artists, hoping to catapult Taiwan’s performing arts to the world stage.

In the coming years, the graduate institute and its Performing Arts Center will hold international performing arts conferences and seminars on a regular basis as well as host intercollegiate performing arts festivals and exhibitions. In addition, the institute will establish partnership with local performing arts groups and relative industries.
