The Department of Physics offers programs that lead to the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The department is established (1) to produce outstanding researchers in physics, (2) to cultivate qualified people for high technology and science industry, (3) to provide excellent training for high school physics teachers, and (4) training them to be devoted to physics researches, education, services, and promotion. At present we have 31 full-time and 1 adjunct faculty members. Major topics of research currently conducted by our faculty members include quantum matter physics, high energy and particle physics, soft matter and biophysics.
