The 21st century marks the fusion of technology and everyday life. Related environmental and ecological issues, critical reflection on the humanities, and the technological industries and applications are becoming increasingly diverse, with a shift towards cross-industry integration and strategic alliances. Design and art undoubtedly play a crucial role in integrating future technologies with human life and fostering ecological coexistence. In line with this trend and our university's strength in information technology, our institute has been advancing with the times since its establishment in 1992, currently developing into a cross-disciplinary design and art program. In addition to exploring theoretical and applied models within each field, we also emphasize practical application, the intersection of ideas, and the integration of theory.
Guided by humanistic and artistic thinking, and using technology and design as tools, the program is dedicated to the theoretical development and practical creation of interdisciplinary art and design. Furthermore, the program aims to cultivate integrated designers and well-rounded artists who possess a global perspective, humanistic qualities, and the ability to master media technology and artistic creativity. The program strives to foster development and positioning within concrete creative expression and a profound research theoretical framework, fostering a harmonious learning environment. The program encourages interaction and inspiration between diverse expertise, leveraging future technologies to develop interdisciplinary design and artistic practice, hoping to spark more possibilities for intellectual exchange and dialogue.
