M.A. in Counseling and Guidance

NYU Steinhardt’s online master of arts in Counseling and Guidance program prepares aspiring pre-K–12 school counselors to pursue certification and employment in public and private schools nationwide. NYU teaches school counseling practice and research techniques through the lens of equity and social justice so future graduates can help students from diverse backgrounds thrive academically, professionally, socially, and personally. Each student of this online masters degree will choose one of two concentrations: school counseling or bilingual school counseling, which teaches them to address common challenges experienced by students for whom English is a second language. This degree is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC).
