If your undergraduate degree has left you with a passion for independent research, and an interest in a particular topic in one of the following three areas of Human Sciences: Sport, Physical Activity and Health; Psychology; Health & Social Care, this degree will allow you to advance both your subject knowledge and your research skills. Based around an individually devised and researched dissertation on the subject of your interest, it is designed to develop your understanding of high quality research within the Human Sciences and will give you the opportunity to research into a subject that you want to explore.

Admission requirements

Undergraduate

Applicants require an undergraduate degree in a related discipline with a 2:1. Applicants with a good 2:2 combined with exceptional research or additional experience may be considered. Applicants may additionally be required to attend interview or to submit a piece of written work as part of the application process. Applicants for whom English is not a native language must also demonstrate proficiency in English language. Such applicants will be required, to achieve an IELTS score of 6.5. Applicants who may not have attained an IELTS score of 6.5 may be considered provided they demonstrate sufficient degree of proficiency in English language as would be required for study at Masters Level. Such applicants would be required to attend the English Language for Academic purpose sessions held by the University prior to the start of the course and successfully complete the assessment requirements set. These sessions will be delivered full time over a 10-12 week period prior to start of the course.
