Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour. Most of us take a keen interest in normal and abnormal behaviour – this course gives you the opportunity to explore your interests in depth and underpin it with a solid academic foundation. Oxford Brookes’ psychology facilities are purpose-built, and include laboratory facilities and a dedicated computer suite. This programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society. There are seven basic modules introduced in Year 1. Students will be introduced to key areas of psychology and psychology research in context. The modules in Year 2 will provide students with the skills in data collection and analysis and provide the core knowledge needed for British Psychological Society accreditation. In Year 3, students will apply the knowledge gained in the first two years, and design and undertake their own research project.  A range of optional modules allow students to choose modules that reflect their own interests.
