This four-year course is the only dedicated Equine Science and Thoroughbred Management degree of its kind in the UK. It is a joint venture between Oxford Brookes and Abingdon and Witney College, with teaching mainly at Oxford Brookes, with a small number of modules based at Abingdon and Witney College’s stud farm, allowing theory to be linked to practice. This collaboration enables you to benefit from the expertise, facilities and extensive industry links of both institutions. There is considerable input from external practitioners throughout the course and you work in the industry in your third year. The course benefits from a unique mentor panel which includes industry professionals from a broad range of settings. The panel provides students with direct links to industry specialists who are able to advise on career progression and work experience (see opposite).
