The Master's in Human Rights is an interdisciplinary education and training program that fosters organized dialogue between various academic specialties that deal with matters related to democracy and human rights.
It is aimed at lawyers, sociologists, economists, journalists, anthropologists, members of the Armed Forces and National Police, university professors, prosecutors, development promoters and specialists who work in non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
It is granted by the Postgraduate School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and organized with the support of the Institute of Democracy and Human Rights of the same house of studies - IDEHPUCP. The duration of the Master's is two years, that is, four academic cycles that include twelve compulsory courses and four electives that represent 48 credits. At the end of this time, the student who passes all the courses, supports his thesis and meets the other requirements established by the university, will be able to obtain the academic degree of Master in Human Rights.
Additionally, an intermediate certification has been considered at the end of the eight courses of the first year, after which the students will receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights.
