The Master in Legal Research has the following objectives:
  • That Law professors develop research of high academic quality in their areas of interest.
  • That research in Law be increased significantly.
  • That a postgraduate program in Law be developed based on research and an advanced educational method that contributes to improving legal education in Peru.

Achievements of the Master in Legal Research In 2017, twelve (12) teachers of the fifteen (15) participants who entered the MIJ in 2016 successfully completed the program, with 80% of the teachers graduating. For this reason, the program won the Graduate School High Graduation Rate Structured Programs Incentive Bonus Contest. In 2019, the Master's in Legal Research (MIJ) consolidated its contribution to legal research with the graduation of eleven (11) of the fourteen (14) professors who formed the 2017 cohort, thus reaching 78.5% of graduates that year. The undeniable positive results of the program have proven the success of the MIJ model proposed by the Academic Law Department of the PUCP.
