The specialization program in tourism, has as object of study the management of historical-cultural tourist destinations, for which it integrates the knowledge of disciplines such as anthropology; and, the historical cultural heritage; but it also perfects the professional profile with the contribution of technical sciences such as destination management; which, added to the systemic and complex study of tourism, allow the adequate contextualization of the object of study for the development of professional skills. Graduates from this program will learn to: Value the historical - cultural heritage to plan and promote tourist destinations at the local and national level; Identify the tourist potential of the historical - cultural attractions of Ecuador, to structure sustainable and sustainable tourism products; Establish destination positioning strategies to take advantage of market opportunities according to global trends; Evaluate the cultural historical heritage of the destinations, assessing their tourism potential; and Assess the economic and social impact of tourism projects, promoting respect for interculturality and the environment.
