The beginning of the establishment of the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir was the letter of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education No. 33/28/18248, dated 6/11/1426 AH, which included the directive to take the necessary measures to establish the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate. The college was established in 1428 AH and studies began during the first semester of The same year, new registered students were received, and more than 800 students were accepted for the first and second semester in the following majors: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry Department, Physics Department, and Islamic Studies Department. His Excellency Dr. Mubarak Muhammad Al-Hammad was assigned to supervise the project to establish and establish the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate as the first dean of the college from 1428-1433, then Dr. Nasser Muhammad Al-Muhaiza from 1434-1437, then His Excellency Dr. Safar bin Bakhit Al-Madra’a, then Dr. Omar Nouh Al-Mutairi and Dr. Sultan Misfer Ali Al-Dosari, currently dean of the college .
