FIELD OF ACTION OF THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
a) Develop or improve theories, policies and methods for landscape planning, design and management at local, regional, national and multinational scales.
b) Develop policies, plans, and implement and monitor proposals, as well as develop new or better theories and methods for national parks and other conservation and recreation areas.
c) Develop new or better theories and methods to promote environmental awareness and undertake the planning, design, restoration, management and maintenance of cultural and / or historical landscapes, parks, lands and gardens.
d) Planning, design, management, maintenance and monitoring of both functional and aesthetic developments of the built environment in urban, suburban and rural areas, including open, private and public spaces, parks, gardens, road landscapes, squares, housing developments, cemeteries, monuments, tourist, commercial, industrial and educational complexes; sports fields, zoos, botanical gardens, recreation areas, and farms.
e) Contribute to the planning, aesthetic and functional design, location, administration and maintenance of infrastructures such as roads, dams, energy projects and others of great importance.
f) Undertake landscape assessments, including environmental and visual impact assessment with a view to establishing development policies or the actual development of projects.
g) Inspection of sites, analyzing factors such as climate, soil, flora, fauna, surface and underground water and drainage; advise clients and make recommendations on working methods and sequences of operation for projects related to landscape and the built environment.
h) Identify and develop appropriate solutions related to the quality and use of the built environment in urban, suburban and rural areas and make designs, plans, work plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules.
i) Monitor the implementation and supervise the construction of proposals, to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules.
j) Carry out research, prepare scientific papers and technical reports, develop policies, teach and advise on aspects related to Landscape architecture, such as the application of geographic information systems, remote monitoring, laws, landscape communication, interpretation and ecology from the landscape.
k) Administration of planning and landscape design projects.
l) Perform all related tasks.
m) Supervise other workers. Also indicating activities such as:
  • Participates in the development of environmental and landscape planning policies at the local, regional, national and multinational levels.

q) Implementation, Construction and Maintenance of Landscape Architecture Landscape Architecture & Planning The landscape is a cultural asset and a heritage resource that should be managed rationally, for this reason its study and prior assessment should be considered as an important variable in any planning project Of the territory. Landscape Planning prospective vision of the site, seeks the sensitive relationship of the natural elements with the ratifícales, in an orderly, efficient, aesthetic and ecological integration for a harmonious development of the place. It integrates geology, topography, vegetation, hydrology, fauna, flora, climate and microclimate, culture and society, to reduce environmental costs of projects.
r) Environmental Urbanism / Urban Design The methodology of Environmental or Landscape Urbanism is multidisciplinary by definition; integrates knowledge and techniques from disciplines such as environmental engineering, urban strategy, landscape ecology, technology, and architecture. Urban design, horizontal or void architecture, resolves the articulations between the various building languages, integrates dynamics of land uses and redefines the areas of circulation and permanence of urban spaces generated by new uses and their needs, within the philosophy improvement of the quality of urban life and its indicators.

  • Copy of the citizenship card and voting certificate.  Foreigners, passport.

  • Curriculum vitae, in A4 format.
  • Portfolio, in A4 format, will not exceed 20 pages.
  • Statement of Purposes.  A writing will be presented, which in no case will exceed 1000 words.
