The Agroindustry course trains professionals, through knowledge and practice, with the necessary skills to give added value to agricultural raw materials, enabling their connection with agroindustrial companies in parallel to their training and, in addition, ventures that will potentially allow them to be autonomous. through their own businesses. Applies scientific, technological, biotechnological, agro-industrial engineering, administration and marketing foundations in the transformation of the main raw materials and natural resources from the agricultural, livestock, forestry, aquaculture, fishing and by-products sectors, in solving problems in the sector regional and global business. Promotes technical-scientific research and designs new products, agro-industrial applications based on the sustainable use of the main raw materials of agricultural origin and their by-products. Promotes and manages localized agri-food system projects that establish links with the community and in the public and private spheres, integrating the largest number of actors in the territory at the local, regional or national level, with international projection, complying with the National Development Plan. It rescues and revalues ​​ancestral knowledge of an agro-industrial nature in order to validate it, adjust it and give it prospective industrial use. Designs and manages the implementation of integrated quality systems, environmental responsibility, industrial safety, and their corresponding programs in agro-industrial companies, based on national and international regulations.
Occupational field:
  • Management of state and sectional administration agencies or small, medium and large-scale agro-industrial companies and organizations.
  • Technical management in production.
  • Research in universities and research institutes, R+D+I research departments of agro-industrial companies, extensionist in peasant and social organizations and rural and peri-urban communities.
  • Development of agro-industrial products, agro-entrepreneur running his own business and consultant.

Entry requirements
  • The UCSG Admission process, since 2011, has been projected and structured in accordance with the new National Leveling and Admission System (SNNA), which establishes a change in both the concept of admission to Higher Education, as well as in its nomenclature.
  • As stated in the "Second Annex" of the Institutional Pedagogical Model, a theoretical methodological proposal is constituted that makes it possible to establish the general curricular structures and the organization of basic learning in the leveling of registered applicants.
  •    PROPOSED EXAM AND COURSE FOR ADMISSION  The UCSG Winter Admission process is carried out in its two modalities: exam and course for admission.
    • Exam for admission: which is carried out in an extended period and according to the dates that have been programmed in the Admission calendar.
    • Course for Admission: according to the admissions calendar, a 4-week course of classes, exams and supplementary classes is scheduled.
    To enter the career, the student must have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in accordance with the Law and have approved the Admission process established by the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil (exam or course for entry).  As part of the academic - administrative requirements established by the University and the Faculty, when registering for the first time, the following requirements must be submitted in a manila folder with a headband:
    • Application for enrollment to the Dean by valued species.
    • Color copy of the citizenship card.
    • Copy of voting certificate (if applicable)
    • 1 updated American visa size photo (white background) 5 x 5 cm
    • Copy of basic services sheet
    • Copy of certificate of conduct issued by the school.
