The Business programme (Dual Mode) was born from the agreement with the DUALE HOCHSCHULE Network in Germany. For its part, the Network of Business Universities in Latin America, DHLA is present in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru with more than 30 branches. At the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, the Business Career (Dual Mode) was approved in 2007 by the University Council and in 2008 it opened its first preparatory course in the classrooms of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences.

The dual modality consists of didactic parallelism, that is, it allows two learning environments to be combined, the classroom and the training company. This synergy consists of 50% theoretical and 50% practical that is developed in each of these learning environments. The rigorously established academic content and practices must guarantee that the student acquires theoretical training and the immediate practical application of the knowledge acquired, in order to achieve a perfect synergy of learning and personal and professional training, through the immediate transfer of the scientific knowledge acquired in the classrooms, to the identification, understanding and solution of real research problems in the Ecuadorian business and productive sector.
