Through the property economics course, students will develop a detailed understanding and knowledge of: the Australian and global property industries; how the property industry relates to the business economy and the built environment, in order to meet current and future industry requirements; the use, value, management and marketing of property in order to optimise the benefits from ownership or occupation. The Bachelor of Business is designed to produce graduates with the knowledge, skills and experiences for success in a broad range of contexts in general and specific fields of business. The course provides students with a strong theoretical and practical underpinning in the key disciplines, functions, principles and practices of business across national and international business environments with depth and specialisation in a discipline. The curriculum is responsive to industry needs, providing students with contemporary knowledge and skills that are highly relevant to industry.

Before you start this course, we assume you have sound knowledge of the subject/s listed below. If you don't have the subject knowledge, you can still apply for the course but we strongly encourage you to undertake bridging studies to gain the knowledge:

  • English, or Literature, or English and Literature Extension, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C)
  • General Mathematics, or Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)

Accounting, finance, financial planning, economics and marketing majors: 4, SA in Maths A, B or C. We assume that you have knowledge equivalent to four semesters at high school level (Years 11 and 12) with sound achievement (4, SA).
