Economists examine consumers’, businesses’ and governmental financial behaviour and decision-making. This Master's in Economics from Radboud University will teach you all the needed skills. You have a choice between seven Master's specialisations. The Economics programme at Radboud University challenges you to look at economics differently and to discover that it is much more than money, markets and regulations. The programme offers the following specialisations:

Economics –Accounting and Control

During this Master's Economics - Accounting and Control specialisation at Radboud University you will gain the skills and academic knowledge required to become a professional in the domains of auditing, accountancy, controlling and financial management and consulting.

Economics - Corporate Finance and Control

Within this specialisation of Economics - Corporate Finance and Control programme at Radboud University, you will get a thorough understanding of state-of-the-art corporate finance integrated with modern institutional and behavioural insights. Understanding all the necessary facets will equip you with the knowledge and skills to tackle complex financial issues in today’s corporations.

Economics - Economics, Behaviour and Policy

This Economics - Economics, Behaviour and Policy specialisation at Radboud University  deals with a broad spectrum of policy issues, ranging from innovation policy, voter and consumer behaviour, to issues such as policy for gender equality or happiness. Our programme develops skills needed for data-driven and behaviour-proof economic policy, embedded strongly both in theory and practice. 

Economics - Financial Economics

The Economics - Financial Economics programme at the Radboud University focusses on the global aspects of corporate finance and prepares students for an international career.  We offer a theoretical foundation where you apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations, giving  you a good understanding of the highly volatile behaviour of financial markets, including bubbles, crashes and crises.

Economics - International Economics and Development

In This Economics - International Economics and Development specialisation at Radboud University you follow a state-of-the-art curriculum in International Economics with a strong empirical and analytical focus on low and middle income Global South countries. You will look at the bigger picture and will analyse micro-level data to provide information on intra-country or cross-national disparities.

Economics - International Business

The Economics - International Business specialisation at Radboud University combines economics and business studies, focusing specifically on firms that operate in an international environment. We teach students that the success rate of cross border business is not just about economic principles but is also influenced by differences in institutions and culture of host and parent countries. 

Economics - International Political Economy

In our Master’s International Political Economy specialisation at Radboud University you will uncover the economic and political dimensions of global issues and power struggles behind policy choices. Combining Interdisciplinary courses in economics and political science, you will acquire the knowledge you need in order to resolve complex international policy issues.

Applications for both Bachelor's and Master's programmes open up 1 October. The deadlines are as follows:


Admission requirements for Bachelor's programmes

High school diploma
Your diploma must be equivalent to a Dutch VWO diploma or a higher-level diploma. Additional requirements may apply, for example, a diploma from an academic stream, a specific level/course, or a certificate in Mathematics.

Command of the English language
When applying for admission to an English-taught Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at Radboud University, you need to have sufficient command of the language. There are various ways to prove this, sometimes through your diploma or citizenship and in other cases through a language test certificate (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)).
