The Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) powers the university's robust exploration of sciences. From microorganisms to a changing climate, the land, air and ocean, nutrition and food sciences, animals and plants—our faculty and students explore science in applied and theoretical formats. We have  21 undergraduate majors, plus a multitude of minors and special certificate programs that  offer our undergraduate students a gateway into the world of scientific knowledge. Our graduate students have the opportunity to explore the plethora of research opportunities embedded in our  13 graduate programs  or in collaboration with our  Master's of Business and Science program .  This is enhanced by an array of learning opportunities  beyond the classroom  and involvement in a variety of student organizations.

Students at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) have the best of both worlds on several fronts. While taking advantage of all a large state university has to offer, our students enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a small college. Nestled on the  George H. Cook campus  of Rutgers–New Brunswick, SEBS students form bonding relationships with their peers in their classes, living-learning communities, and research laboratories, working on-campus farms, greenhouses, gardens, and ocean observatory, and involvement in a multitude of student organizations and athletic clubs.
