The CGI and Visual Effects degree provides students with the technical skills to create awe-inspiring effects for film, television, games and advertising. This degree is optimised for students wishing to learn the creative and technical skills required to produce awe-inspiring special effects for film, television, games and advertising. This course combines visual effects, 3D modelling, animation and digital technology. Students will learn to produce the sort of mind-blowing results that one can see in Hollywood blockbusters. The first year will cover the fundamentals of visual effects where students will learn to plan and shoot a short film as a team and add their own visual effects to it. On this degree, students will have the opportunity to use high end 4K digital cinema cameras, motion capture and green screen studios. Students will learn industry leading software such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Unreal Engine and the Adobe suite.
