The baccalaureate curriculum in Construction Management Technology (CMT) prepares a student for a practitioner's role in industry, government or institution in the area of construction management. Graduates are qualified for jobs as construction field supervisors, estimators, expediters, construction cost analysts, schedulers, plan examiners for government agencies that control construction, and in safety. Graduates can communicate effectively and have the necessary teamwork and leadership skills to work and participate effectively in a team environment. Also, graduates will have professional growth and life-long learning skills that engineering technologists need to succeed in both the workplace and the society in general. The Construction Management Technology Program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET. Engineering technologist use the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, sales, construction, inspection, and maintenance. Their work is more narrowly focused and application-oriented than that of scientists and engineers.
