Tokyo Medical and Dental University is unique among medical and dental universities in Japan in that it has four systems of graduate education and research: 1) Medical and Dental Sciences, 2) Health Sciences, 3) Biomedical Sciences -- Education Division, and 4) Biomedical Sciences -- Research Division. Organizationally, TMDU has four faculties (Medicine, Dentistry, Health Sciences and Oral Health Sciences), an undergraduate College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, two research institutes (Biomaterials and Bioengineering, Medical Research), a teaching hospital attached to the Faculty of Medicine, a teaching hospital attached to the Faculty of Dentistry and a Dental Technician School.At TMDU we do our best to produce scientists who show intellectual curiosity in all that they do and who expend every possible effort in seeking the truth.
