Clinical Neurology MSc

This MSc, is aimed at doctors who are looking to further their knowledge and skills in clinical neurology. The fully interactive course provides scientific and clinical knowledge through online lectures, several opportunities of clinical case discussion, case-based learning through online forums and video conference with tutors and research supervisors. This program is delivered online and an option of mixed mode (online and face to face teaching/research) is available.

Students on this course acquire skills for neurological examinations and diagnostics that are applicable in day-to-day clinical practice and the principles of clinical research.  The teaching on the course focuses on clinical approach and scientific basis of common neurological conditions such as headache, epilepsy, stroke, nerve and muscle disorders, demyelinating disorders, and CNS infections. The course covers interpretation of investigations used in neurological practice such as neuroimaging and electrodiagnosis. Basic aspects of neurosurgery, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-otology, paediatric neurology, and neuropsychiatry are covered.

Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.

The MSc has180 credits that are acquired

• Four compulsory fully distance learning modules  of 15 credits each (60 credits)

• Four optional fully distance learning modules of 15 credits each (60 credits)

  OR

  Two optional blended learning modules of 30 credits each (60 credits)

• Research project (60 credits).

Upon successful completion of 180 credits, you will be awarded a MSc in Clinical Neurology (by Distance Learning).
