The course of Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages, of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, UCSG, based on the study program of the Ministry of Education and according to the norms established by the Unified General Baccalaureate (BGU), establishes as student profile what said Ministry expects of the new bachelor, who must be able to:
  • Think hard.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Use technological tools thoughtfully and pragmatically.
  • Act as a responsible citizen.
  • Manage your emotions in social interrelation.
  • Undertake.
  • Learn for the rest of your life.
  • Knowing its value and valuing its history and its sociocultural reality.
Additionally, as a particular requirement of the career, it is sought that the student possesses the following characteristics:
  • Social commitment.
  • Language skills.
Interest in teaching. (evidenced in the psychological test taken by the University)

The student who enters the career of Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages, of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil must comply with what is stipulated in  Art. 82 Requirement for admission to the institutions of the System of Higher Education of LOES  .- For admission to higher education institutions it is required:
a) Possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, in accordance with the Law;  and, b) In the case of public higher education institutions, having fulfilled the requirements regulated by the Leveling and Admission System, which will observe the principles of equal opportunities, merit and ability.  The institutions of the Higher Education System will accept baccalaureate degrees obtained abroad, recognized or equated by the Ministry of Education.
In addition to:
In case of coming from another academic unit or university, comply with the homologation process.

Administratively
Mandatory Documents:

  • Copy of identity card.
  • Copy of voting certificate (If applicable)
  • Copy of Basic Services Worksheet.
  • 3 passport size photos (5x5)
  • Endorsed bachelor's degree certificate or notarized copy of the bachelor's degree.
  • Certificate of behavior issued by the educational unit (Original)
  • Psychological Test Certificate (UCSG)
For foreigners
  • Certificate of good repute (Original)
  • Certificate of revalidation of title obtained abroad (original)
  • The above requirements 1,3,4 and 7
Homologation
  • Application for homologation of subjects.
  • Grades card.
  • Certificate of good repute.
  • And the above requirements 1,2,3,4,5 and 7

Academic  graduation requirements
  • Report of approved subjects according to mesh.
  • Presentation of the Degree Work in written and digital version.
  • Having completed the Certification process and have the Minutes of the Support Court.
  • Level B2 certificate according to the Common European Framework by taking an international certification exam.
Administrative
  • Species valued for the review of historical booklet and documentation General Library Report of not owning books.
  • Treasury report of not having amounts owed with the University.
